Very beautiful resort!
The kitchen is very small and only has a mini fridge. There is no dishwasher and no oven. There is plenty of storage but limited counter space.
My son's baseboard heat didn't work and his room was freezing this morning. But, they have space heaters in each room. I just set it up so his room should heat up soon!
The walls make many creaking sounds throughout the day but it isn't to loud and unbearable.
My boyfriend and I were in town for the weekend and booked this hotel last minute because our original reservation at another place fell through. Barbara was very helpful and helped us check in to our room early so we could get ready in time for the wedding we were attending that afternoon. The room was very clean and perfect for what we needed. In the morning we were able to hop in the hot tub before our check out. The views are absolutely amazing and the staff was wonderful. Definitely recommend!
Beautiful and relaxing. The view is amazing. The front desk is very friendly and he even gave us some history of the lodge when checking in. Very historical venue and we will be back again! More pics to come!
Great place to stay right in the heart of Estes Park. This place is over a hundred years old and it's very interesting. The pool/ hot tub is great the views are amazing the rooms are just perfect with a little kitchenette in each room. I was told no 2 rooms are the same. It was great. Would come back again
Retro vibe- could imagine stepping back in time to a quieter era when you could spend the summer in a cooler clime. Fantastic sleeping with the windows open, the pine scented breeze and awakening to a Mountain View. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Our child loved the library area with all the board games
Stayed here for a long weekend and it was PERFECT! Since we were in town for a wedding, we unfortunately didn’t get to chill on property much, nor eat at the restaurant. But I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, and the location was so convenient to everything in town!
Stay was okay. Very expensive for what you received. We did appreciate the free laundry, ability to rent movies (although, we did not), and the kitchenette. The kitchenette really sold the place for us because we were able to make dinner and breakfast. We were looking forward to the restaurant and found out upon check-in that it was not open. Also, we tried to check-in 2 hours early because we finished RMNP early and the lady was very rude. We get that check-in began at 4pm and it was on us because we came early. Every other hotel we stayed at had check-in at 3pm and checkout at 11am and if we were an hour or two early there was no issue with letting us check in. This hotel is check-in at 4pm and checkout at 10am. You are paying a high fee for two less hours in hotel which doesn't make a lot of sense. Anyways, we went down to a brewery and came back an hour later and were just going to wait in the lobby until we could check in. The rude lady had been replaced by a very nice lady who said all the rooms were clean and we can check you in. We were also looking forward to the hot tub after a long day but it was out of service. The view outside our window was nice. We also could not get the wifi to work on our phones. Not sure I would stay here again. The kitchenette doesn't really make up for the first encounter with the front desk.
